Job Summary

The Senior Cloud Engineer will be responsible for leading cloud architecture design, deployment, and management within Databytes Consulting Tech. This role will focus on optimizing cloud solutions while integrating security, performance, and cost-effectiveness. With a blend of engineering, architecture, and pre-sales expertise, the Senior Cloud Engineer will provide technical leadership, assist in client engagements, and work on complex infrastructure projects that leverage advanced cloud platforms and tools. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud environments (AWS, Azure), cloud storage, virtualization, and related infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Architecture & Design: Lead the design and implementation of highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure solutions for clients.
• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Administer cloud resources and ensure optimization of virtual machines (VMs) across platforms (Windows/Linux VMs), cloud storage, backup solutions, and databases.
• Pre-Sales Support: Work closely with the sales team to provide technical guidance in pre-sales engagements, including proposal development, technical presentations, and BOQ (Bill of Quantities) preparation.
• Cloud Platform Expertise: Manage cloud environments, including AWS and Azure, ensuring seamless integration and performance across cloud services such as EC2, S3, Cloudfront, SQL databases, and other cloud-native services.
• Virtualization & AI: Oversee virtualization solutions using VMware and explore opportunities to implement AI-driven cloud optimizations and automated monitoring.
• Security & Compliance: Lead initiatives to ensure cloud environments comply with security best practices, data protection standards, and disaster recovery protocols.
• Client Engagement: Participate in project discussions with clients, provide technical leadership, and ensure the successful delivery of tailored cloud solutions.
• Team Leadership: Mentor junior cloud engineers, providing guidance in architecture, troubleshooting, and solution deployment.
  
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Cloud Engineering Expertise: Minimum of 10 years of experience in cloud architecture, engineering, and cloud infrastructure management.
• Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Solutions Architect certification is preferred.
• Cloud Technologies: Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) with hands-on experience in designing and managing cloud environments.
• Database Management: Strong knowledge of SQL databases and integration with cloud platforms.
• Virtualization & VMware: Expertise in virtualization solutions and VMware management.
• Security & Compliance: In-depth knowledge of cloud security practices, data protection, and disaster recovery planning.
• Technical Leadership: Proven track record of leading cloud infrastructure projects and mentoring engineering teams.
• Pre-Sales Experience: Experience working with pre-sales teams, preparing technical proposals, and contributing to solution designs for client engagements.
• AI & Emerging Technologies: Familiarity with AI-driven cloud solutions, automation, and infrastructure optimization.
