Pre-Sales Engineer (IT Hardware & Networking)

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Pre-Sales Engineer with extensive knowledge in IT hardware and networking solutions. The ideal candidate will have a decade of experience in supporting sales teams by providing technical expertise, crafting tailored solutions, and presenting to clients. This role involves working closely with customers and internal teams to design and implement IT infrastructure solutions that meet business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand client requirements and provide technical consultation for IT hardware and networking solutions.
  • Design and propose tailored IT infrastructure solutions involving servers, storage, networking equipment (Cisco, HP, Dell, Lenovo, Aruba, etc.).
  • Conduct product demonstrations, proof of concepts (PoCs), and technical presentations to customers.
  • Support the sales cycle by preparing technical documentation, solution architecture diagrams, and cost estimations.
  • Liaise with vendors and partners to understand product features and competitive positioning in the market.
  • Coordinate with the implementation team to ensure the smooth transition from pre-sales to post-sales delivery.
  • Identify client pain points and craft scalable solutions addressing business challenges in network security, infrastructure scalability, and performance optimization.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies in networking, cloud integration, and hardware innovations.
  • Manage and support RFP/RFI processes by preparing detailed technical proposals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and partners to ensure long-term business engagements.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in pre-sales, IT hardware, and networking.
  • Strong expertise in networking technologies (Cisco, HP, Dell, Lenovo, Aruba).
  • Hands-on experience with designing solutions in areas like LAN, WAN, WLAN, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs.
  • Familiarity with cloud networking solutions and integrations (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure, servers, storage, and hardware solutions.
  • Exceptional client management and communication skills.
  • Experience working with tools such as Cisco Prime, SolarWinds, and other network management platforms.
  • Ability to work closely with sales and technical teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of SD-WAN, SDN, and network automation tools.
  • Familiarity with virtualization and cloud technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Experience in conducting competitive analysis and staying ahead of industry trends.
  • Knowledge of SD-WAN, SDN, and **network virtualization technologies.
  • Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with network automation tools and scripting (Python, Ansible).
